The server has been having some serious block delay issues as well as has went down completely.

Is it perhaps the size of the map file? I noticed we're getting out to 88000 blocks outwards..

Map size shouldn't really affect it, since the chunks are not all loaded at once. (although the 1G map file is running me out of disk space XD)

I know it isn't loaded, but surely keeping those map chunks saved ready to go whenever must take some form of toll on the server? Im not too sure, as obviously I don't run any servers, but thats how it should work in theory.

Perhaps the chunk trim may help, or maybe just clearing up deserted settlements.

And they are proud to double our map size lol. Man when I do that chunk trim its gonna take a long time to download to my pc. 1000MB with 250kbs average internet speed. And the proly around 100MB to be uploaded at 40kbs. You do the math lol.
