first off i would like to thanks anyone for reading this, i know not a lot of people read the forums at all.

OK 1.7 is out this Friday. the sever will not be upgrading till a good Craft bukkit build is up, so don't ask me to put in a dev build cos i will not do it. i wont to get the best fresh start the sever can have, so this does mean waiting for a little while.

What is changing on wingnuts minecraft!

  • New sever Host. This means a new ip. this just helps with are clean start.

  • Clean Start. OK this is are last clean start hopefully for ever.

  • Sever Boarder. OK this is a new thing coming to the sever, the way it will work is that to Start with the sever will only be 500x500 block limit, this will help us keep the ram down on the sever (which will stop some people lagging), also keep us building closer together.

  • With every new update i will be putting the boarder back a bit giving you guy new space to play with.

  • Greifing! All greifing Will be reported to are forums from now on, following wingnuts old guide lines. which are you must state your name. what happened and the pos of greif, from there a member of staff will look in to it.

  • Holy-knights will be Renamed to Paladins.

  • Noble are being taken out. The reason is people keep asking for it all the time, just become a hassle.

  • New Forums web site (still under construction)

  • Plebs will once again have to sign up to are forums to join us. if they Don't they will stay pleb. (No exceptions)

  • Game mode is being taken out of the game FOR ALL USER even me. i don't think its fair to the others that the staff are mostly all was in creative mode while the rest aren't.

  • No spawning want so ever. im coming down hard on this topic, this sever has always been a non spawning sever. and i would like to put us back on that road.

  • Respect for My staff. In the past some player seem to have the in there head that they can tell the staff of wingnuts what to do. When a member of my staff says something on a issue there word is final. This does mean that going on about a topic that has been sorted, will end up in you ether being kicked or muted. if you then continue on trying to get your own way then ban hammer will be used. (e.g. your friend has been banned for greifing, there was logs showing that that player did that. even so you try to get the person unbanned. the staff member says no. (that should be the end of it) But you keep going on and on about them getting unbanned.) this will ever get you kicked or mutes for the day. if you then keep going on about it the ban will be used.  

  • Warriors Will be having some more perks added to the perms. At the moment they have Warp. I will be asking the for good ideas at a later date. I mostly want to focus on the move at the moment. keep in mind that any rule breaking plugins will not be added.



I do know rules are not for everyone. but we do need some to keep the order in the sever, hopefully these new changes will get wingnuts but to the way it used to be. Please if anyone has any issues with any of the changes BRING IT UP NOW. in the post reply l will be happy to hear anything you guys have to say. See you all soon when in the 1.7 world Very Happy

Can a more defined list of staff rules be addressed. Like how to deal with griefs. I would love to see a file submitted with every ban.
So when someone comes on and was like: "my friend "FroggyFreshlover69" was banned, can you unban him?"
Then admin online can look up the details of the report on the new forums and see why they were banned, by who, and when etc.

I have two questions, but I'll start with the one that'll effect more people:

If noble is being taken out, does that mean everyone who was a noble will become squires again? Or is there some sort of system being established to rank people to what the staff see fitting?

Also, 500x500 world, I'm assuming this is a temporary thing just so the sever starts off alright?

EDIT:

Some more questions.

So the only way to rank up high from now on is to become a staff member, or am I missing something out here?

Will the spawn be implemented later on?

and finally, how awesome is the new forum?

and if we run out of move to fast its easy to make the boarder bigger

How about the pasting of old Wingnut Gems that have been lost over the updates with promises of pasting that have fallen through? Thinking specifically of Elicity, but not forgetting all the other fruits of time and labor by people in the past.

I think it would be a good idea to have some of those ready with the new map - i.e. spawntown, it will help inspire creativity, not to mention - create a positive first impression for plebs when they log on for the first time.....unlike the current map with a central feature and nothing else for a thousand blocks.

speaking of which, five hundred square is rather small....we'll all be stuck in one biome, you might reconsider upping the size to a thousand or two thousand square, esspecially if you follow my advice and paste some stuff right off the get-go

aright, there's my seven cents

wait, one more - i think you could solve the "i wanna be a noble" problem by putting people who ask for it on a list of people who will never earn that honor....you don't need to take it away, just tell them to shut the hell up and if they don't like it, they can leave.
